Who are Emily and Joel?

Emily Penny is a brand strategist and copywriter with an MA in Marketing. She has spent 25 years in branding, specialising in B2B and people-based brands. She launched her unique BrandStrand® positioning framework in 2024. 

Joel Stein is a writer and creative consultant with an MA in Media & Journalism and two decades’ copywriting experience. He authored Idea Tactics — a creative thinking card deck used in organisations like LEGO and Nike — and publishes the newsletter Weirdness Wins. 

These people really know their stuff! They’ve spent months researching, analysing, and refining Fully Saturated to make it as useful as possible for agencies, designers and brand strategists who can’t afford messaging that blends in.
